Chinese Heritage Church Survey

If you grew up in the Chinese Heritage Church, your experience matters. Many American-born Chinese were shaped by their church during their youth years. Some have remained deeply connected and others have transitioned to different churches after high school.

This study seeks to better understand those experiences and how churches can more faithfully disciple and care for future generations of Asian Americans.

Who is this for?

You are invited to participate in this survey if you:

  • Have Chinese ethnic heritage (full or partial)

  • Were born in the United States

  • Are 18 years or older

  • Attended a Protestant Chinese Heritage Church (CHC)* for at least two years during grades 6-12

  • Currently attend a Protestant church (CHC or non-CHC)

* A Chinese Heritage Church (CHC) refers to a church with Chinese heritage, usually started by Chinese immigrants who speak Chinese and have Chinese cultural and historical roots.
